Puritans valued realistic writing with an emphasis on religious themes. Some characteristics of Puritan literature are: limited atonement, original sin, irresistible grace and unconditional election. A Puritan writer's main focus was to glorify God and show reverence for the Bible.
I would say C or D
well actually there was very little fiction in any Puritan writing, so it cant be C.
I wouldn't call their writing metaphorical either.
