OpenStudy (pinklipstick34932):

I don't understand this one question and I need some help. Which expression is equal to (32)(8)(5x) using the associative property? A. (8)(32)(5x) B. (32 · 8 · 5)(x) C. 32(8 + 5x) D. (5x)(8)(32)

OpenStudy (pinklipstick34932):

So I think it's A or D but they're both kind of the same answers so I assumed they were trick answers?

OpenStudy (pinklipstick34932):

I was gonna go with B but I honestly don't understand this question. The numbers are formatted in a way I'm not familiar with

OpenStudy (pinklipstick34932):

I know it can't be C, and since A and D are the same ones, would it be B?

OpenStudy (brooke..help00):

I apologize I thought- I typed B.

OpenStudy (pinklipstick34932):

its okay, I wasn't sure if it was B though because the x is in a parenthesis and I googled it to understand how a problem like this would be solved and I wasn't sure if they usually do that with the letter
