Can you hear something? Does the author give the words/phrases that my signal the sense of hearing? As it says, 'whispers' and 'told', that does indeed signal what? Something detected by YOUR sense of hearing.

They do give observations and mere pictures of how handsome someone looks, so, what does that signal? Seeing.

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Feeling is obviously evident in this poem, the feeling of love. That warm fuzzy feeling, those chills, the narrator's thrills, etc.

'Sugarcane sweet'. How can we tell that something is pleasant and sweet? Evidently taste. To sum this up, YES, yes indeed that the poem creates 'strong' images.
