That's a lot of question. What specific concept do you need help on?
Translations?
Everything!! I don't know how to do anything!! @mhchen
Do you at least know what a Reflection Translation Dilation is?
Okay so a Reflection basically flipping something, like what you see in a mirror.
A Translation is moving it up, down, left, right.
And a Dilation is making it bigger or smaller.
So let's look at problem 6: Mapping STUV to WXYZ You should know that S-->W T-->X U-->Y V-->Z
So if you look at the graph, you'll notice that the rectangle has to FLIP to the right, across the Y-Axis. Pretend the Y-axis is like a mirror, and you just reflected its image across of it.
What answer choices does it give you to select from for the notations?
(x,-y) (-x,y) (-x,-y)
Alright, so according to the graph on Problem 6. |dw:1476222947787:dw|
You are moving from the (-x, y) place to (x, y) Basically the x-value gets MULTIPLIED BY -1 (-x , y) --> (x, y)
