How did the Ten Commandments compare to Hammurabi's Code? Both provided people with a set of rules. Both outlined the punishments for criminals. Both were given to their creators by God. Both were written by biblical prophets.

The Hammurabi code is a Babylonian LAW dating back to about 1750 BC. It provided the laws that were to be followed in Mesopotamia.. The Ten Commandments are the laws chiseled into stone by Moses (or so we're taught). It states the things that "Thou shall" do and what "Thou shall not" do.
