Triangle OWL was rotated to create triangle O'W'L'. Describe the transformation using details and degrees. Triangles OWL and O prime, W prime, L prime are shown. O is at 1, 2. W is at 3, 1. L is at 2, negative 2. O prime is at negative 2, 1. W prime is at negative 1, 3. L prime is at 2, 2.
Please someone answer this correctly for me and i will give you ALL my medals.

So the points are `O(1,2) , W (3,1), L(2,-2)` and then `O'(-2,1), W' (-1,3), L'(2,2)` right?
Oh ok :) I understand.
Lets analyze the points... We see that we start with `O(1,2) and end up with O'(-2,1)` Well the x and y values seem to switch places and makes the y-value be a negative....lets see if this occurs with the second one :) `W(3,1) to W'(-1,3)` Does the same occur to this one?
Try refreshing the page :)
i think it does with that one swell
aswell
it lets me right now lol yay
Correct :) So since the values seem to switch places this would only mean it is a rotatation....lets write out the rule first.... \(\huge\bf{(x,y) \rightarrow (-y,x)}\) This the rule for our transformation.... ~~~~~~ Now since the points change places that would only mean that it can be a 90 degree clockwise or counterclockwise rotation because a 180 degree rotation would only have the values as a negative...Lets write the rule for `90 degree clockwise and counterclockwise rotation` And choose which one of ours follows... 90 degree counterclockwise: \(\huge\bf{(x,y) \rightarrow (-y,x)}\) 90 degree clockwise: \(\huge\bf{(x,y) \rightarrow (y,-x)}\) Which one does it follow?
i think the 90 degree clockwise?
@563blackghost ^ sorry lost connection
I'm thinking counterclockwise but I'm to sure
not*
Yes its counterclockwise :)
oh good lol
^.^ and its find your intern disconnected mines not good today as well.
is that the end of the question?
yeah same its been weird
Yes.
thanks so much! ill give u medals now
You can only give one, Im good with one :)
how do i give u medals? this is my first time on open study lol. and u sure? i can give u more
^.^ You click on the `Best Response` to the right side and that'll give a medal...but you can only give one per post....
Im sure :)
oh its only possible to give one? thats weird
Oooo forgot.... \(\Huge{\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}\color{orange}{\bigstar}\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}\color{orange}{\bigstar}\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}}\\\color{white}{.}\\\Huge\sf\color{blue}{~~~~Welcome~to~OpenStudy!~\ddot\smile}\\\color{white}{.}\\\\\Huge{\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}\color{orange}{\bigstar}\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}\color{orange}{\bigstar}\color{red}{\bigstar}\color{blue}{\bigstar}\color{green}{\bigstar}\color{yellow}{\bigstar}}\) \(\Large{By:thomaster}\) Welcome to Openstudy! And I hope you will enjoy this helpful site! ^^ Please check out the code of conduct to learn the rules of this site xD http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct
lol
Its nice to be welcomed this way ;) Im glad I was helpful if you ever need help in the future and see me on just tag me in your question and i'll come as soon as I can :)
thank you so much and i will! (: Do you only do help in math?
I do help in various subjects you can check my profile to see the others I help in.... To check profile of others mouse over the username click on it and youll see `View Detailed Profile` you'll click on that and see their bio and subjects they study/help :)
I mostly do help in Math though ^.^
