2. A local charity sponsors a 5K race to raise money. It receives $55 per race entry and $10,000 in donations, but it must spend $15 per race entry to cover the cost of the race. Write and solve an inequality to determine the number of race entries the charity needs to raise at least $55,000. Thankz! ♥
@AloneS You have perfect timing. xP
Lolol wdym?
You came almost as soon as I logged back on for help with the question
Oh lol alright let's see what you have
Alright so let's take 5K and subtract from \(\ 10,000\)
we'll get 55 dollars right? @sissyedgar
Sorry. I'm in another class right now. xP
But ya. We get $55
Alright so the answer would be \($55\) So subtract \(55 -$15 = $40\) Than you have \($45,000\) divide that by \($40\) which would eaqual \(1,125\) So the answer would be \(1,125\) race entries needed.
Got it. THANK YOU!!! ♥
