OpenStudy (lacris):

Please check this!! I will give you a shiny medal! I just want to be sure I'm correct :)

OpenStudy (lacris):

OpenStudy (lacris):

So I did 193 + 2(9.3) = 211.6 to find \[\mu+2 \sigma\]

OpenStudy (lacris):

and I did, 193 - 2(9.3) = 174, so between the two values, 188 - 350 isn't really in that range

OpenStudy (lacris):

But I did ask for you to check this honestly :< do you know if I am correct?

OpenStudy (lacris):

|dw:1476332883184:dw| so would it be No, it's not unusual?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

No, your work is correct but you interpreted it incorrectly. So by using 2 std deviations you have 95% confidence interval It is only unusual if 188 is outside this interval

OpenStudy (lacris):

So it's normal then right? Since 188 is between 174 and 211.6 it's normal right? :)

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

yes

OpenStudy (lacris):

So how did I interpret it wrong? Is my line graph incorrect?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

oh sorry i was basing that on you answered "yes" in the screenshot

OpenStudy (lacris):

Ooh, okay, that was my past answer, so I was just double checking, thank you :)
