The like terms follow the same rules of arithmetic as "regular" numbers.  Just add and subtract the coefficients of the similar terms.

(7b^2 - 2b             + 3) 
- (5b^2        + b^4   -  4) 
                    - (9b^4 + 6)

Here I rearranged the second line, so I could line up the similar terms.  Check for any typos.

And watch the parenthesis, they can change the sign of the term inside of them.
