i'm having trouble adding and subtracting polynomials. (7b^2 - 2b + 3) - (5b^2 - 4 + b^4) - (9b^4 + 6) = ?

The like terms follow the same rules of arithmetic as "regular" numbers. Just add and subtract the coefficients of the similar terms.
