OpenStudy (3mar):

May I help?

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

Be my guest

OpenStudy (3mar):

Thank you.

OpenStudy (3mar):

As you know, just solve for x^2 Put it in one side and the others is the other side

OpenStudy (3mar):

Can you?

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

is the naswer b?

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

@phi

OpenStudy (3mar):

B is correct!

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

Oh i guessed

OpenStudy (3mar):

Great!

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

@phi

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

Is this correct i mean I did get b but I'm so sure

OpenStudy (phi):

10 x^2 - 36y^2 = 100 add 36y^2 to both sides. 10 x^2+ 36y^2 - 36y^2 = 100 + 36y^2 simplify the left side 10 x^2 = 100 + 36y^2 next , divide both sides by 10 (that means all terms on each side) \[ \frac{10x^2}{10} = \frac{100+36y^2}{10} \] the left side simplifies to x^2 the right side can be "split" (if you know how fractions work) \[ x^2 = \frac{100}{10} + \frac{36y^2}{10} \]

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

Yeah so b

OpenStudy (3mar):

As I said. Stop 2nd guessing yourself

OpenStudy (3mar):

Thank you for the medal!
