1. What are some similarities between the dogs pictured? What are some differences? 2. What are some ways you can divide these dogs into groups? 3. How could you improve your dichotomous key? 4. Why is it important to classify things?
Let me just go use my telekinesis to see the picture through your eyes.
what xD
Gal, you gotta give us the picture for us to help you. Lol "1. What are some similarities between the dogs pictured? What are some differences? "
they all have ears and four legs and they are all dogs. The differences are they are all different breeds and they don’t all have long ears and they are not all the same size. is for the first one i need help with the last 3
it didnt give me a picture
??? how did you get an answer for the first one without a picture?
because if u look at any dog u can see that there are many diffrent things about each dogs
"What are some similarities between the dogs pictured? What are some differences? " they said "pictured". What is the assignment from?
They are supposed to provide an image.
ill show u
That is very odd. What is the assignment from though?
k12
Perhaps you should text your teacher and question what the image is from? It seems it's something missing. Is there an article for this assignment?
okay
2. You could probably group them via, fur length, fur color, eye color, ear size, ear type, canine teeth size, paw color, fur pattern and size.
you could also group them via personality type.
whats a dichotomous key
A dichotomous key is the process of finding characteristics in order to slowly minimize your choices and find the exact name and species or breed.
At least that's what I think it is.
but only a girl dog can breed right?
what do you mean?
isnt that whats diffrent?
girl dogs can breed but boys cant
I don't think that is relevant to finding the species.
i dont understand
what is the school subject?
Science but im in math cuz idk
lol, science is my worst subject. But I think I can still help.
what grade u in?
The way to improve you dichotomous key would be to find my characteristics of the individual dogs.
once you find the characteristic of one dog, like let's say he has long hair. Then you will look at what species has long hair.
so now you slimmed down your list to the long haired available list of species.
so you would go back to your dog, and look at what other characteristics he has.
let's say next, you find that he has blue eyes. So you would go back to the list of long hairs, and look up which species it's common to have blue eyes.
so now you have the list slimmed down to long hair and blue eyed species.
So you would continue with so on, finding characteristics in your dog en-till the list is slimmed down to one species.
but why is it important to classify things?
if you don't classify things, such as, let's say plants or mushrooms. What do you think would happen if people picked up and consumed the wrong mushroom or plant?
it would die? idk
It's important to classify things in order to distinguish the breeds of animals or plants so that we know how to give them individual care.
ohh
If you don't know the difference of an edible mushroom or an poisonous mushroom, you will surely get ill.
so different species and breeds of dogs have different personalities.
its okay u dont need to help me my teacher replied she said they working on it
thanks tho
I'm sure once you get the image some of what we talked about might be useful, good luck.
thx
