x=-14?

563blackghost (563blackghost):

As said `Vertical Angles Theorem` states that two angles created by intersecting line and are vertical will be congruent to each other. So `JNM` and `KNL` are congruent. \(\huge\bf{\angle JNM = \angle KNL}\) substitute... \(\huge\bf{5x+2=3(x+14)}\) Remember to distribute the 3 into the parenthesis.

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Also we are find the angle total so lets make sure we don't put x as the answer :) Try again x does not equal -14.

OpenStudy (devonhoward15):

x=20

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Correct :) Now you need to input it into the expression of `LNK`. \(\huge\bf{3(20+14)=?}\)

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Sorry `KNL`not `LNK`

OpenStudy (devonhoward15):

102

OpenStudy (devonhoward15):

x=102

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Nice :)

OpenStudy (devonhoward15):

Thank you very much
