OpenStudy (3mar):

May I help?

KjSaif (kjsaif):

OpenStudy (3mar):

Thank you.

KjSaif (kjsaif):

should i keep this as a simplified fraction or decimal?

KjSaif (kjsaif):

as a fraction i got 9/8

OpenStudy (3mar):

You mean bring the result in the simplest form?

KjSaif (kjsaif):

simplified 1 1/8

KjSaif (kjsaif):

i need to now should i leave it as a fraction or convert it to a decimal

KjSaif (kjsaif):

1 1/8 in a decimal is 1.125

OpenStudy (3mar):

What does the question require?

KjSaif (kjsaif):

What is the unit rate

OpenStudy (3mar):

Does it require a certain form of the result?

OpenStudy (3mar):

@KJSaif

KjSaif (kjsaif):

no

OpenStudy (leenathan):

yes no maybe idk can you repeat the qustion?

KjSaif (kjsaif):

nope.................

KjSaif (kjsaif):

but i'll do the decimal :)

OpenStudy (davejavous):

Personally I would keep it keep it as 9/8 There's no correct way to write it unless it specifically askes in the question. You have free choice however so its whatever you think looks the nicest.

KjSaif (kjsaif):

ok @davejavous

OpenStudy (3mar):

fraction is more accurate than decimal, as it is the exact value.

OpenStudy (3mar):

Thank you for the medal! I appreciate!

OpenStudy (davejavous):

In this case however, 9/8 is just as accurate as 1.125 or 1+1/8 The argument for fraction accuracy is only valid for recurring decimals, such as 1/3 or 4/7 for example.

KjSaif (kjsaif):

It's cool @davejavous I got it right! :)
