D Because to eliminate d we have to multiply A by -3 -3 and 3 eliminate each other so Multiply equation A by -3
Make sense?
wouldent you want to multiply equation B by -3 not A?
If we do that we will have this system of equations 2c = D - 8 -3c = -9d - 72 D variables cannot be eliminated here!
