Advice for Openstudiers (aka my pet peeves) - Don't start a post saying "Please help me" (or something of the equivalent)...and then not post the question you need help with. - Don't post a question and then leave and not respond to your helpers. - Don't direct message people asking for their help. Just tag them using the @ symbol directly followed by their username. - Don't post on other people's questions asking for help with your question
+ Do be respectful of others + If you don't understand something, say so, and be specific so your helpers can know exactly what to explain + Do thank people for their help and/or medal them
Courtesy of @SapphireMoon +Make sure to ask a specific question. Don't just copy-paste from your assignment without any of the graphs/images included along with it. Make sure to give us as much background information as you can, remember we haven't been in your class, so we don't always understand what you mean just from the assignment. Take the time to be complete and we will too!
Pet Peeves of @brooke..help00 1. When you ask a question and get offline. So you log on 3 days later and get mad because no-one answered your question. 2. When you post only answers no explanations please... I also hate this because you are using OS for all the wrong reasons. 3. Posting a question that is help. or please help. Then, there be no question. Totally agree, especially with #1
Feel free to add anything!
+Post you are willing to learn not: "Direct answers only please* + Do respect whoever is trying to help you. - Don't rush people who are trying to help you. - Dont forget about a question you posted and move to another category
lol why have i seen like 4 posts of this xD

Most of these are actually set rules listed within our Code of Conduct... If someone is asking for just answers, \(\bf\underline{\color{red}{report~them}}\). If someone is being disrespectful or rushing you, \(\bf\underline{\color{red}{report~them}}\). If someone is giving just answers, \(\bf\underline{\color{red}{report~them}}\). If someone is not acting in accordance with both our \(\bf{Code~of~Conduct}\) (openstudy.com/code-of-conduct) and our \(\bf{Terms~and~Conditions}\) (openstudy.com/terms-and-conditions), simply \(\large\bf\underline{\color{red}{report~them}}\). Thanks, and \(\large\it\color{blueviolet}{\heartsuit~Thanks~for~using}\color{cornflowerblue}{~Open}\color{lightgreen}{Study!~\heartsuit}\)
