OpenStudy (dveliz26):

A 50 kg crate is pulled at constant speed by a 100 N that acts 30 degrees above the horizontal. What is the coefficient of sliding friction?

OpenStudy (hoot_hoot):

net force = applied force - friction force friction force = applied force - net force \[net force = \sqrt{x^{2} + y^{2}}\] x-component = 100 N cos 30 y-component = 100 N sin 30 The net force is 90 N. I'm not really sure.

OpenStudy (hoot_hoot):

What's the mass for?
