OpenStudy (burb):

find the inverse

OpenStudy (burb):

write the answer in correct \[f ^{-1}(x)\]

OpenStudy (burb):

the equation is \[g(x)=\frac{ x-7 }{ -2 }\]

OpenStudy (supersmart1001):

hm ok this will take me a min

OpenStudy (supersmart1001):

The correct answer is f(x) = 3x2 + 5 and y = 3x2 + 5 or at least thats what i got

OpenStudy (burb):

\[3x^2 or 3x2\]

OpenStudy (supersmart1001):

1st one

OpenStudy (supersmart1001):

i hoped i help bye

OpenStudy (burb):

\[f ^{-1}(x)=7-2x\] this is the answer but i dont know how to getb this answer

OpenStudy (supersmart1001):

to find the inverse, you first equate the function to y g(x)=y so now y=x-7/-2 now try to make x the subject of formula. for this the first and thing to do would be to take the -2 and and multiply it by y. now we have -2y=x-7 now we'll simply bring the -7 to the other side and change the y back to x. we'll have -2x+7 or 7-2x get it?
