Hayhayz (hayhayz):

To rent a certain meeting room, a college charges a reservation fee of $45 and an additional fee of $5.80 per hour. The history club wants to spend less than $91.40 on renting the meeting room. What are the possible amounts of time for which they could rent the meeting room? Use t for the number of hours the meeting room is rented, and solve your inequality for t.

Hayhayz (hayhayz):

45+5.8*t < 91.40 5.8*t<91.40-45=46.40

Hayhayz (hayhayz):

t< 46.40/5.8= 8 so would i write t<8?

OpenStudy (will.h):

Yeah say that t (the number of hours) must be less than 8 In order to keep the renting price below 91.40

KjSaif (kjsaif):

hmmmmm...........I believe so

Hayhayz (hayhayz):

well this is what my answer box looks like http://prntscr.com/cves9f do i need to write what you said @Will.H or should i just leave it as t<8

OpenStudy (will.h):

No you have to demonstrate your answer

OpenStudy (will.h):

You solved correctly but you didn't explain what you solved for

OpenStudy (will.h):

If you can justify your answer then write what I said. If they just want the mathematical expressions then you did well enough

Hayhayz (hayhayz):

i dont think i can write words in that kind of answer box but thank you!

OpenStudy (will.h):

Then that's all you need to do. You did well.
