A down arrow is drawn with its tip at (2,0). It undergoes a translation described by the directed line segment (-3,1). The image of the tip of the arrow is at point A: (2,1) B: -1,1) C: (2,-3) D: (-3,2)

OpenStudy (genericnoodles):

It's either at A,B,C, or D. My apologies for not being clear

OpenStudy (ivitt):

Is there an image?

OpenStudy (genericnoodles):

Yes, I thought it was doable with just the points though

OpenStudy (ivitt):

Can I see the image? So I can better understand.

OpenStudy (genericnoodles):

I'm not sure how to upload it, I'd have to take a picture of it

OpenStudy (ivitt):

You use a computer screenshot software like Lightshot to get it

OpenStudy (genericnoodles):

I just need to understand how to find translation in general, I have a test in a couple hours lol

OpenStudy (ivitt):

Ahh I see.

OpenStudy (genericnoodles):

It's not on computer, it's a workbook. I could find a similar problem online if you don't mind helping with a different problem haha

OpenStudy (ivitt):

Yeah sure that's fine

OpenStudy (genericnoodles):

Wait I think I got it. I just need to understand the basic rules, so if the points are (2,0), and they are translated by (-3,1), that just means it moves left 3 Units and up one unit yes?

OpenStudy (genericnoodles):

So it would be (-1,1) I think
