OpenStudy (eliesaab):

What is it for x<-3, increasing or decreasin?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Increasing means the function is going upwards (has a positive slope) Decreasing means the function is going downwards (has a negative slope)

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Yes. As we move from left to right (towards increasingly larger, + x-values), a function is "increasing" if the graph appears to be going up and "decreasing" if down. On which intervals does YOUR graph appear to be decreasing? On which interval does YOUR graph appear to be increasing?
