Which line from "The Pardoner's Tale" best illustrates why the three rioters bond together as brothers? A. "If we can only catch him, Death is dead!" B. "They made their bargain, swore with appetite" C. "They came upon a very poor old man" D. "A yokel mind loves stories from of old" I think its either A or B, but I'm not sure which one because with B they say this as they are pledging to be brothers, but with A, they are saying they will kill Death which is the reason why they are pledging to be brothers.

I didn't have this question :S I personally would choose A since the story specifically says: "They made their bargain, swore with appetite, These three, to live and die for one another As brother born might swear to his born brother" (verbal irony since they kill each other in the end) Outside of the actual text, I thought it was A also, great job breaking it down. Answer should be B
