I can't get a single soul to answer me in the physic's section, so I'm pulling off the most abominable sin of OpenStudy by putting my question in the wrong section.

Okay, so I think you're overthinking it. An example of volume is the amount of air in a basketball, or the amount of ice cream in a container. Etc etc
