OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

@sooobored @AAbomosalam1998 @Austin.L @Loser66

OpenStudy (sooobored):

tes

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

so the first one is right, what is the next one?? @sooobored :-)

OpenStudy (sooobored):

4*5= 20

OpenStudy (sooobored):

20 is the 2nd digit hence n=2

OpenStudy (sooobored):

5^n+___ = 5

OpenStudy (sooobored):

where n= 2

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

so it would be D right???

OpenStudy (sooobored):

2-2=0 5^0=1 therefore the 2nd digit would be 4 not 1

OpenStudy (sooobored):

not 20 dunno where 1 came from

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

oh so ti is B??

OpenStudy (sooobored):

2-1=1 5^1=5 therefore the 2nd digit would be 20 since this works, lets check the 5th term i dont have a calculator but make sure 4*5^4=2500

OpenStudy (sooobored):

if it does then thats the right answer

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

well i need verification please help with that i understand but i need verification

OpenStudy (sooobored):

well, checking the 5th term is the verification

OpenStudy (sooobored):

we know it works for the 2nd term, so we use the fifth term to be completely sure

OpenStudy (sooobored):

i mean, the other way to be completely sure that B is the answer is to try applying the 2nd term/ n=2 to all the other equations and trying to get 20

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

so it is B? I checked but i still need verification here too please

OpenStudy (sooobored):

YESSSSS, have some confidence man

OpenStudy (sooobored):

you're smarter than you think you are

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

well thank you!!! Could i ask you for your help on some more?? please :-)
