WILL FAN AND MEDAL Solve the system by substitution: 2x-y+z=-4, z=5, -2x+3y-z=-10 a) (-8,7,5) b) (-8,-7,5) c) (8,-7,5) d) (-8,-7,-5)

OpenStudy (rzlearner):

Is the prpbelem giving you the answer for Z right off the bat?

OpenStudy (rzlearner):

*problem

OpenStudy (triciaal):

why is this still open? do you need more help?

OpenStudy (cb1232000):

Its a system with three variables

OpenStudy (cb1232000):

i mean obviously z is going to be 5 because its in all the answers

OpenStudy (triciaal):

given the value of z when you substitute it is really 2 variable simultaneous use 2 equations then a different 2 note z = 5 is given you only have x and y with one equation write in the form x( or y) = whatever number 1 with the second equation in the form the same chosen varianble = whatever number 2 variable = variable so let whatever1 = whatever2 and solve

OpenStudy (cb1232000):

im still confused..
