OpenStudy (jtfan2000):

Would it be correct to say the Doppler Effect is the apparent change in the speed of a wave due to the motion of the source? Be sure to fully explain your position using at least 3 complete content related sentences.

OpenStudy (johnnyq):

It would be correct. Since pitch is related to frequency, you can always calculate speed of a wave from the frequency. And since you know it is a sound wave, the speed is constant at 334 m/s so you can just use s = w/f. You just need to know the wavelength.
