It is not option C because if you extend segments GF and EB, they will both intersect in point A. So, they cannot be parallel.

From the previous work (I'll find it and transport the link to this thread), D is the midpoint of segment AC. G is the midpoint of segment AH.

Look at triangle AHC. Segment GD joins the midpoints of 2 sides of the triangle.

Such a segment is parallel to the third side of the triangle.
