As the definition @Conqueror cited, there is no mention of computers.
eLearning may be a branch of personalized learning, and it takes advantage of the versatile personalisation capabilities of the computer.
In general, it could be in some everyday form as learning for the physically or mentally challenged, or a strategy for a different cultural group, learning for the golden age group of citizens, etc.
Start with a Wiki article, and look up the references to branch off to more documentations.

You seem to be rushing into writing about a new topic.

Good writers usually take some time to research about a subject before committing to writing. Even in the case of an essay, you would collect references, read through, understand and digest. Make notes (because you need to cite references when writing), organize and plan what your main ideas are, then write a draft. Let it sit for a couple of days, and reread your own draft, make corrections, check references, and then finalize the text.

If we rush into a topic, we could end up writing paragraphs that don't "flow", or end up plagiarizing different articles that talk about different aspects of the topic.
My advice is, slow down, digest, and write about your own ideas.
