OpenStudy (natasha18):

The slope of the line whose equation is x + y = 6 is -1 1 6

OpenStudy (natasha18):

A really simple question, but I just dunno how to set it up...?

OpenStudy (natasha18):

@kittiwitti1 @narissa

OpenStudy (natasha18):

anyone??

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

Put the equation in slope-intercept form \(y=mx+b\)

OpenStudy (natasha18):

i know that much.. I'm jut confused what 6 is equal to in the equation... is it b??

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

\(b\) is the y-intercept, but yes.

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

It's basically isolating the \(y\). The coefficient of \(x\) that you get should be the slope.

OpenStudy (natasha18):

ok thanks a bunch!
