jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):
what is your opinion ?
jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):
when in what case a system of equations has infinite many solutions ? do you know it ?
OpenStudy (ace_santiago1):
i have no idea my lesson didnt explain how to do this well and i have written notes and everyhting
jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):
ok. in case the first one
y=3x+1
-3x+y=1
do you can rewriting these equations with variable terms on one side isolated ?
jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):
-3x+y=1
-3x+y=1
yes ? in this way is right

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):
what mean that these equations are the same ,equals - yes ?
OpenStudy (ace_santiago1):
i think so
jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):
ok. so than you like solve this system indifferent using elimination method or substitution method what will get ?
jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):
-3x+y=1 multiply by -1 both sides and will
-3x+y=1
3x-y=-1 yes ? but now than you assume term by term will get
3x +y = -1
-3x -y = 1
------------------
0 0 0
right ?
do you understand it now what mean system with infinity solutions ?
OpenStudy (ace_santiago1):
yes thank you very much
