i can't tell what is the question?

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

Which graph shows the piecewise function?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Which one did you choose? :)

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

I don't know.

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Well lets see, you can clearly see that one of the equations is \(\large x^2 - 5\) meaning SOMEWHERE on the graph we will have a parabolic shape right? Well, we can eliminate C and D as options now right? since they just have 2 straight lines

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

So now we're down to just A or B Now, if we just remember that when a function INCLUDES a value, it is indicated by a CLOSED circle Example....\(\large y = x\) if \(\large x \ge 2\) Since that INCLUDES 2...we would have a filled in circle at x = 2

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

So here...the first equation \(\large x - 5\) when \(\large x \le -1\) Means we would have that straight line up to x = -1....and since it INCLUDES -1...we would have a filled in circle at the end of that line at x = -1 So which of these graphs adhere?

OpenStudy (3mar):

Sorry, I was not here! I think johnweldon1993 had done the required and more!
