CALLING ALL POEM WRITERS!! MEDAL ON MOST HELPFUL REPLY!! FAN FOR ALL HELPFUL ANSWERS!! I need help writing a poem for English. I only need one more line. I need something about inequality or discrimination- stay with the theme of the poem. The last word in the line needs to rhyme with protesting (or come up with something else for the second-to-last line) and the line needs to start with "I observe."

OpenStudy (gigi1103):

love English but hate poems sorry ;(

OpenStudy (smartypants13):

I sit and look out upon all prejudice and false superiority; I see the rich taking advantage of the poor and the lowly; I see the wage gap closing, but much too slowly; I notice people being oppressed for the color of their skin; Even though true value should come from within; I see many being slandered for the beliefs that they hold; I observe loss of respect from the young to the old; I observe (THIS IS THE LINE I NEED) All of these I used to witness, not protesting, But no longer will I see, hear, and be silent.

I observe how respect isn't everlasting. That's all I got.

OpenStudy (smartypants13):

Not sure if I'll that, but the word everlasting could be helpful. Thanks! :)
