OpenStudy (jakob):

thanks you for that

OpenStudy (jakob):

Alright how do I start this

OpenStudy (radar):

2w + 4 + 2w = 24 4w = 20 w = 5 l = 5 + 2 = 7

OpenStudy (radar):

The perimeter equals the sum of all 4 sides and it is given as 24. The rest is algebra.

OpenStudy (radar):

w is the width l is the length

OpenStudy (jakob):

Alright you lost me

OpenStudy (radar):

Look at my diagram of the storage shed........w is the measurement of the width in meters l is the length which is given as the width + 2 meters, so the length is w+2. There are two sides as the width, and two sides as the length 2(w +2). Think about it like a rectangle.

OpenStudy (radar):

Similarily there are two width, that explains the 2w. Add em up to 24.

OpenStudy (jakob):

12

OpenStudy (jakob):

Sorry for making this hard for you I am not anywhere good at math
