Part A is because you can set the equations equal to each other, because when they intersect, they have the same y-value. Part B they tell you what to do. Make a table for each of the two given equations, then plug in each x-value from -3 to 3. You're looking for where the y-values are equal. Part C... by graphing each equation and finding the point of intersection. You're looking for the x-value.
