statement 2 is bogus. the bisector divides MN into two equal parts.

Due to the fact Point Q is a bisector of MN that would mean that two sides that `are equal` will appear on both sides.
So we have M to X and to N. So we would get two equal sides being MX is congruent to NX.
This would be in place of Statment2.
