Question

So they are telling me to find the unit vector from points A(-1,0,2) to B(3,1,1)

I understand that one way to find that "vector" is by subtracting A from B likeso: C(3 +1 , 1 - 0 , 1 - 2) = C(4,1,-1)



Why does subtraction give me the vector ?
