Can someone explain how to find square root and check my answer?

root (400/4) = root 100 = 10

yes. because the 400/4 is in one bracket, you can divide. That gives 100, I hope ! then you happen to know (if you're still awake) that since 10 times 10 is 100, then root 100 is 10.
