In which sentence does the verb agree with the subject?

A.
The ducklings and their mother waddles toward the pond.

B.
Mosquitos and rain makes an outdoor picnic pretty miserable.

C.
Books and television entertain us on a rainy day.

I know it's not A, it should be 'waddle' instead.
I'm in between B and C but leaning towards C a bit more. I think B would be 'make' instead of 'makes' but when I say it using 'makes' it kind of sounds not weird. Please help!
