A good citizen is someone who values his civic duties or responsibilities and does not break the law. Being a good citizen means following all the laws, turning in or informing anything suspicious to the government or police, and being a nice fellow citizen with others and without hostility. A good citizen is someone who protects his country and encourages no violence.

The difference between a civic duty and a civic responsibility is small but significant. A civic duty is something that you are obliged to do because it is the right thing to do. A civic responsibility is something that the government expects you to do such as turn in anything suspicious looking.

The difference between civic duty and civic responsibility is somewhat simple. CD is something that you would do for the public. CR is attitude/actions you hold within the public.

Its kinda like family. As part of your family, you do chores. (CD) On a bad day, you still put on a good face in front of others because it makes your family look bad when you dont (CR).

Ultimately. The difference is between being told to do something (CD) and doing something because it's right to do. (CR)
