What type of fold is shown by fold A? And in which way do the limbs tilt or dip from the axial plane?

@ShadowLegendX

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

Do you know how to identify these Folds?

OpenStudy (lxdrpr):

some what, not enough to answer it

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

In your lessons or textbook, are there images that could show how to easily identify these?

OpenStudy (lxdrpr):

nope :(

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

I took Earth Science in 6th grade, so, a very long time ago xD This website shows examples of folds http://www.geologyin.com/2015/02/types-of-folds-with-photos.html

OpenStudy (lxdrpr):

I looked at it and it defiantly helped me identify them its a anticline fold. but how do i figure out the second part??

OpenStudy (lxdrpr):

@sam141101 how do you figure out the second part?

OpenStudy (lxdrpr):

@518nad ^

OpenStudy (518nad):

the second one is symmetric

OpenStudy (518nad):

its a reflection across that plane in the middle

OpenStudy (lxdrpr):
