So a while ago, I read this book called "Einstein's Dream" which is a book on different time theories. For example, some theories are that time moves backward instead of forward. Another one is no one can remember the past or everyone lives on day.

I'm a little confused about your assignment.
Are we creating a fictional reality where time doesn't act the same as it does in this reality?

Or are you trying to posit some unique explanation for the structure of time in this reality?

This time doesn't really have to be real, but it should make some logical sense. For example, time goes slower when you are higher up in the sky. Thus, people decide create homes on mountains and people who are lower than them die quicker. Of course, there are many flaws, but that's the point. Another one can be time goes faster when you are having fun (which is true.) However, since people want to live longer, they live a boring horrid life. Hope this makes some sense. It's pretty interesting. You should read the book "Einstein's dream." My assignment was to create another world that has some logical sense.

Hmm well this is kind of simple and a long the same lines as the examples you gave,
but at least it's something to consider...

I was thinking along the lines of like... uhhh
Maybe a reality where time runs much faster in warmer climates and slows down in cold places. It's a world where places like Alaska, Russia and Antarctica are the epicenters of activity and community.
