*Tilts head to side to read it* Conversion factors? What conversion factors?
Google :D
I dunno what conversion factors they're prattling on about, but logic would dictate that you multiply the number of hours in a day by the number of days, and then add the 15h and 30m.
For the first question ^
I have to explain it. D:
D: omg whai Explanations are the worst
Uhmm, let's see....
Literally, I would just make this looooong drawn out explanation by explaining how you calculated the number of hours that it takes Mercury to complete a full rotation <-- Typically what I do with my math. So it would take Mercury *Insert number of hours here* to complete a full rotation as it takes it 58 days, 15h, and 30m, and since there are 24 hours in each day, then blah blah blah....
Earth 24hrs Mercury 58 days, 15hrs, 30min 1 day = 24 58 x 24 = 1,392 1,392 +15 = 1,407+30min 1,407.5
Right?
I believe so, yes. Would you like me to attempt to help you with the other questions as well or no?
YESSS PLEASE! With le explanations :')
Mker. So for the second question, part A. Answer me this: How many inches are in a foot? ^ This is key to the entire problem
12
Correct, so the weird weed can grow up to 0.5 feet in a day. Since 0.5 ft is equal to 1/2 a foot, how many inches would be in 1/2 a foot?
6
Right, so the mile-a-minute weed can grow up 6 inches in a day. That's part A's answer.
Now on to Part B How do you think we should go about solving it?
I need le explanation'
Oh my Godddddddddd WHAT DO YOU THINK WE SHOULD DO IN ORDER TO SOLVE PART B OF QUESTION 2 ALL DAT I AM ASKING, MAN.
Idk lol sorry, hold up i'm writing down my first answer
Mk
Do you have any sort of guess as to what we could do to solve it or no?
12 inches per an hour so we divide?
Question: Why 12 inches per hour?
cuz how many inches it's asking so we have feet .5 feet so that's 6 inches so how many in inches oer a day can a mile OHH WAIT I JUST GOT MY ANSWER! 6 inches in one day! right?
That would be correct for part A, yes. But what about for Part B?
6 incehs as well
Ehhhh, not quite
brb real quick
mk, but 6 inches in a day We're trying to find out how many inches in an HOUR.
@jabez177
Okay so how do i do part a again? let's do this again haha
I'm not more focused. :)
now* @YoungStudier
We figured out for part A that the answer was 6 inches.
Okay so now part B
Yes, so how would we go about figuring out part B?
Since it says how fast in inches it's 6 inches
Look closely at the question We're looking for how many inches PER HOUR
so we do 6 divided by 60?
or multiply?
I was thinking about 6/24 but since you mention 6/60 I'm really not sure anymore
24 hours?
We're talking about an hour not 24 :/
I was thinking 6 divided by the number of hours in a day but your answer is probably correct. My brain really isn't functioning correctly because it's 9 at night.
Okay... idek also :( it's too hard know anyone that can help?
@inkyvoyd @bahrom7893 @Nnesha @sleepyjess
which question are we working on...
Question 2
part b
@sleepyjess you still there? :)
brb in like 40 mins or something have to write a summary of a story
@triciaal, may you help me? :)
will I help you with what?
