OpenStudy (summersnow8):

Is my answer correct? Hexokinase has a Km of 0.05 mM and a Km of 1.5 mM for D-Fructose. From this we can conclude that: A. The Vmax of Hexokinase with D-Fructose is 3x the Vmax with D-Glucose B.Hexokinase has a greater affinity for D-Glucose than for D-Fructose C. D-Glucose is a better substrate for Hexokinase than D-Fructose D. It takes less D-Glucose for the reaction to reach ½ Vmax than D-Fructose E. Answers b, c, d F. Answers d & c I thought E was correct

OpenStudy (fosterwestlake):

I'm going to assume that you meant to say the Km of hexokinase with D-Glucose is .05mM. But yes. You are correct again.
