Which describes the climax in “The Monkey’s Paw”? There is a knock at the door, and Mrs. White struggles to open the door. There is a stranger at the gate, who is hesitating to come to the door. The Whites go to the cemetery to bury their son. The man from Maw and Meggins hands the Whites exactly 200 pounds.

Climax happens near the end, where the most dramatic thing happens. Of which, the first one, a knock on the door, is the most dramatic point. Maw of Meggins man handing 200 pounds is the aftermath, so is the burying of the sun, and the stranger at the gate was at the very beginning.
