OpenStudy (hekaphage):

Tell whether each equation is linear. If it is linear, write the equation in standard form. Identify A, B, C. 2y = -3 +2x

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

For an equation to be linear, the equation may have just the variable x, just the variable y, or both x and y. The variable may be multiplied by numbers but not by variables. The variable must be only to the first power (no exponents other than 1 on a variable), and cannot multiply each other. You cannot have a variable in the denominator, in a square root, or in any other type of function such as log, sin, etc.
