Can someone check my answer to the question: Why do producers need decomposers?
I wrote because decomposers break down dead matter into organic compounds that producers can use. is that right or is there more to it?
That's right. I'd say add or rewrite it with 'the producers need the nutrients from the decomposer's so the producers can survive.'. Explain what you mean by that either with what I had said or come up with something else using the example I gave if you need help. Hope this helps with your assignment.
Decomposers are the garbage men of the animal kingdom; they take all the dead animals and plants (consumers and decomposers) and break them down into their nutrient components so that plants can use them to make more food. Decomposers in the forest come in many different shapes and sizes.
Below is a guess ... POSSIBLY similar reason that to PRODUCE heat you need to BURN ("decompose") a fuel ???? Decompo seems to be "nature's knack" of spreading out surface areas of "stuff", and then "fuelling" them individually to recycle them.
