OpenStudy (toyfoxylapirate):

The ozone makes life on Earth possible by doing what? Providing plants with energy Magnifying the amount of energy coming from the sun Blocking the sun's harmful rays Making plants grow

OpenStudy (crystal_b16):

Answer C: Blocking the sun's harmful rays. If the Ozone layer wasn't blocking the sun's rays, life wouldn't be possible because the sun's rays could cause life on earth to go extinct by drastically making the heat go up until all life just evaporates from the extreme heat. Hope this helps some. I took Earth Science last year. It can be confusing at times. I've definitely been there. It's not always the easiest subject.
