feeling warm blowing from your home heater in a cold room is an example of heat transfer by? Conduction Radiation Dispersion Convection I really need help on this
"blowing" could be the keyword here. I think that blowing implies CONVECTION currents, which means that the heat is transferred by bodily MOVING warm air around. Hence the expression "hot air rises". conduction is when you accidentally get hurt touching a rod which has had one end in a hot thing such as a metal poker in a fire (poss going back to another era for this one) radiation is that lovely glow you can get "sitting round a fireside", or the sunstroke you can also get if you sunbathe on the equator without sun cream protection. dispersion seems an odd thing here, because as i understand it, it relates to the colours of the rainbow and a thing called REFRACTIVE INDEX. So, overall, I'd go for CONVECTION. http://perendis.webs.com
