conservation of mass says that the answer is C
MInd you, isn't a "melted ice cube" a puddle of water ?
If the water is left long enough, won't it evaporate ?
So, it COULD depend on when the masses were measured. Leave it a few days, and there'd be no puddle and so D would be true.

it MAY also be true that en route to COMPLETELY melting 10 grams of water form. In WHICH CASE, yes, the ice cube would then have a mass of 15 grams, and may form hat might be called a small ICEBERG.
The q never uses the word "completely" as in completely melts so it's another
hmmmmmmm (Middle C on the piano keyboard).
