The Magna Carta was presented to King John in 1215 because people were tired of his tyrannical rule. wanted him to declare war on France. wanted to praise him for his good deeds. were afraid he was too weak a ruler.
any ideas?

I think that John was brother to Richard the Lionheart "Coeur de Lyon" and kept hopping off to the middle east for a crusade, leaving his bro "in charge" so to speak. I think that J was a bit of a tyrant and .... Though this is a guess, it could be helped by tracing the "origin" of such tales as "Robin Hood" which I think is based with King John's reign and maybe during the crusades. Magna Carta means "Big Paper" and it as probably a whopper ! It's Latin/Old Italian.
