The image is showing the subduction of two oceanic plates. As shown, one oceanic plate is sinking below the other and this is because of the different densities between the two; in this case the one with the higher density is sinking below the opposing oceanic plate with the lower density. Some geographical features being formed here are Volcanic island arcs, trenches, and earthquakes often occur. @nevermind_justschool
